Hi, i've played trumpet for a few years now and have busked on the streets with sheet music. But i now i just want to play without any music and sound good; by improvising without sounding repetitive. What sort of scales are good to play around and can you link them so i can play for a few hours without being monotonous and boring.

it depends on what style you play. blues scales are always good just improv on them for instance in C its C, Eb, F, F#, G, Bb, C
