Rapture Question. What does "the last trumpet" mean?

To begin, I find the whole pre-trib/post-trib rapture debate very interesting and am on the fence on the issue. However I read something in the letter to Philadelphia that opened my eyes.

Rev 3:10 says "Since you have kept my command to endure patiently, I will also keep you from the hour of trial that is going to come upon the whole world to test those who live on the earth."

Read it yourself. That is strong biblical proof of a pre-trib rapture to me. However the big debate of post tribuers is that the "last trumpet" means (post trib) but that contradicts what I just quoted out of Rev. 3:10. So does anyone know what "the last trumpet" actually means?

Rapture Question. What does "the last trumpet" mean?
Hi Mr. Smith,

If you read the whole chapter in Revelations, and compare it with earlier books in the Bible, you will see that it is discussing the hour of tribulation.

To back up, you have to understand the phases of the final days. The 6th trumpet (666) is when the devil comes to earth pretending to be God. That is why it is the 6th trumpet. The devil will tempt everyone, and most of the world will think he is pretty cool, and bow down to him.

However, if you keep the faith, and understand that the real Christ does not come until the 7th trumpet (777), then you know you are witnessing the fake. (You must wait until that last trumpet.)

Here's the catch; the devil is very good at deception. Very, very good. Originally, the time frame that Satan was supposed to be given was a long time. However, for the sake of those children that kept the faith, God will shorten the time, to spare them the hour of temptation (trial). If Satan had as long as originally planned (noted in an earlier book of the Bible), than everyone would be fooled, and no one would be saved.

I am sorry that I cannot recall the earlier book at the moment, but I hope this helps you get started.
Reply:I can tell you about the last trump see this link http://pastorrandyshupe.com/ar...

Reply:It's the trump of God, the last trump. I don't see how the seventh trump would be considered the last trump. You should read about the rapture and Rosh Hashana, you'll find it very intresting as well.
Reply:I would like to know too. Nows the time to start learning about the proper Revelation(s) that are taking and going to be taking place.
