I would rather play the trumpet probably, but the band that i would join already has a trumpet.
Should i play the trombone or the trumpet?
You need to play the instrument that your most interested in. If your not excited about trombone then you likely not enjoy playing it. Two trumpets in the same band shouldn't be a problem. Especially if you find someone else to play trombone.
Check out this great site of trumpet masters. Tons of video and audio clips of the greatest trumpet players. trumpet-stuff.com
Reply:I started playing trombone, but my arms weren't long enough and my lips were to small, so I played Trumpet and had a great time touring New Zealand, its a cool instrument. Play which ever one you are most interested in and you'll have a most fun playing it. Good luck.
Reply:Trumpet man
Its just a much cooler instrument
much better music to play
and trumpeteers get famous man
Reply:Two trumpets can have a musical conversation. If you love the trumpet, go for it. Never buy an instrument because someone ELSE might like it, unless you're giving it to them.
Reply:Trumpet players are sexy but I married a trombone player and he is pretty sexy too. Try playing both. My son did and he got more play time this way.
Reply:Name as many famous trumpet players as you can.
Now, name all the famous trombone players you know.
Play the trumpet. Especially if it's what you really want to play anyway. Of course, if you're really into it, you can play music on anything that will draw the crowd you want. Do you think a passionate flute player could ever front a phenomenal rock band? Ever heard of Jethro Tull?
