ok..i have a trumpet that is REAL SILVER NOT SILVER PLATED and was wondering if i could wash out in warm water without causing it to tarnish or anything like that

Having dealt with antique silver in the past, it will tend to tarnish or turn black just due to the oil on your hands. My trumpet was brass but you should be able to run warm water through it to clean it out. Then get some good silver polish and get busy. Something like that will need TLC and polishing to keep it looking good. Best of luck with it. It sounds like you have a very sepcial horn.
