I am looking for a high quality trumpet for a decent price.?

I am an experienced trumpet player and i want to move on for my beginner trumpet. I want to either buy an intermediate trumpet or Pro Model. This may seem impossible but i don't want to pay more than a thousand for it. If you have any model recommendations and or places to get a good deal please let me know!

The most common Pro Model trumpet is a bach stradvarious. However, they are not easy to pay for. I did some searching last year on my own and found the Blessing ML-1. It is a pro trumpet with a great sound. Depending on where you purchase it, it can cost less than 700 dollars. It is teacher recomended. It has hand lapped monel valves, amado water keys, medium large bore, double tuning slide brace, fitted third slide ring, and a first valve saddle. I purchased mine from woodwind and brasswind. They seemed to have it cheapest. But, you better hurry because they are in demand and the prices keep on raising!
Reply:Well, I would have to recommend either a Conn Connstellation 52B or a King Silver Flair. I play a Connstellation and love it. I tried it against a Strad and a Vintage One (Conn's top model) and I liked it much better. It is a .463" so it is a big horn and does take more air. The other horn, the King is one of the most popular horns in my area. I have never played one, but I know several people who do and love them. One of the other answerers suggested a Bobby Shew Xeno, I recently tested one the Bill Chase Xeno and hated. I thought i twas too small and had a stuffy sound up top. I also have tested Strads and I personally don't like them, but that is just me. Prowinds.com has really cheap 52Bs as well as Silver Flairs. Although the Conn is just a little over a thousand, it is well worth the money. Pro Winds lists the Connstellation as an intermediate horn, but Conn calls it a Pro.
Reply:If I were you, I'd skip the intermediate horn and go straight to the pro models. Check Craigslist - I saw a Yamaha YTR 6310Z - The Bobby Shew horn for $900.

I've played the Shew horn and it is fabulous. Check eBay too.
Reply:go getzen, superior valves, awesome sound, lifetime valve warranty

you cant go wrong

i bought a lightly used getzen and i couldnt be happier,

the 700 series runs you about 900-1100 bucks and is well worth the money and will last you until you are old and grey.

YTR-4335, YTR-6335 is kinda good for intermediate and semi pros i guess..here in malaysia both priced roughly about MYR2500 and MYR4500 respectively(MYR=Malaysian Ringgit).or why dun u try Bach. Those normal non-stradivarius should be good enough too i guess..hope it helps bro
Reply:http://www.musiciansfriend.com has the Bach TR200 for around $1,200. That's what I play, and I like it. (I have both a small bore and a medium bore).

My brother plays a Bach strad. (but I don't know the exact model).

There is also E-bay. You might get lucky and pick up a Bach strad. in good condition for $1000.
