What company makes a good professional C trumpet?

I'm deciding between Bach or Yamaha. I currently a Ymaha YTR-8335LA Bb trumpet and am quite satisfied with it. I really like Yamaha's instruments and never have been impressed with Bach (i know I'm wierd but i just don't like Bach). I've been looking at Yamaha's artist model C trumpets the YTR-9445NYS and 9445CHS. Does anyone recommend one over the other? Any Bach instruments? Other models? etc. Please respond

thanks,

I believe that Yamaha owns Bach now... not that it matters.

There are several manufacturers of brass instruments:

Conn, Holton, Blessing, Amati, B and S, Selmer, etc., but I've found that you'll be more pleased with Bach or Yamaha.

Honestly, I don't really recommend taking advice from anyone on this site. You should play a few models and decide for yourself before purchasing... I know a few brands that a few people love (and a whole lot hate.) Some retailers and wholesalers will actually send you an instrument to test play before you buy... you can even order several to try out. Policies differ, however.

Though, if I were you, I would go for the YTR-9445NYS. I think it is the same price as the 9445CHS, but the 9445CHS is a specialty model. You never know what to expect from those.
Reply:I looked into it, and I was wrong. It seems that Selmer, not Yamaha, bought out Bach. Sorry if this caused any problems. Report It

Reply:How ironic !

The guy above advises against accepting advice from anyone on this forum then proceeds to give advice. LOL

Go with the Yamaha. Nobody I know was ever sorry that they bought a Yamaha musical instrument.
