How do you clean a trumpet?

I am a trumpet player for 4 years. I own a Bach Stradavarious Trumpet. How do I clean out the piping, etc. Ive heard it called giving your trumpet a bath.

How do you clean a trumpet?
Make a solution of mildly soapy water, and get a trumpet snake (a long flexible wand with bristles on one or both ends.)

Remove the valves (and be very careful when you do this as you don't want to dent them!).

Then dip the bristles of the snake in the water and let it work its way through all the piping (remove different slides as needed to clean them more thoroughly.)

Once everything is dry %26amp; drained of any water, regrease the slides, oil the valves and (carefully!) replace them, and enjoy your cleaned-out trumpet.
