What's the Best Trumpet?
If you're looking for a truly wonderful trumpet, the Martin Co's Committee model trumpet, pre-1966. Those were the trumpets of choice of guys like Miles Davis and Chet Baker. It was and still is the sound of greatness. Considering what your price range is, you can find one in decent shape that needs minimal work on E-bay for under $1000.
Reply:I have a Bach Stradivarius 72/43 lightweight and I love it. I have had it for almost 20 years and it works great. I would recommend Bach.
