Well my brother is marching tomorrow and he decided to clean his trumpet, he washed it and let some mildy warm water inside it then flushed it out.... now he can't blow the trumpet please help!
Trumpet Problems!?
the valves are in wrong. look for the numbers on each and get them in the proper place. Next time do not take all 3 out at the same time. They can also be in backwards. listen for the click when you put them in.
Reply:I don't know what that one person is freaking out about, water is fine. But yeah, I agree, it is likely because the valves were put back in incorrectly.

Reply:UUUAHHH you NEVER put water in a trumpet!!!! There are cleaners for that!!! CHILDREN WHAT WERE YOU THINKING??? He probably also put it back together wrong. Lube it up with some valve oil, what's probably happening is the valves aren't matching up with the holes. Take it all apart again and make sure the tabs on the valves are going back in the slot properly. and oil it up a grip!
