Trumpet Creeper isn't doing anything???

I planted a small trumpet creeper I bought commercialy and it has been out a few weeks and has showed no signs of life. How long after planting does it take to start growing????

Trumpet Creeper isn't doing anything???
Don't worry it will!!!!!

They grown underground, and once they take hold it is almost impossible to get rid of them.

It should start to climb in a month or two, but next year you will know you have a creeper..... Here, and over there, and over there.
Reply:These plants don't start till late spring. Its should be fine.
Reply:They are "late risers" - so it can be good to plant some spring bulbs at the base of the plant to remind yourself that they are late risers - I do that with my sleepy plants that "wake" later in the spring. It helps avoid a gap in the garden when the other plants are starting and it also avoids a gap in the garden when the spring ephemerals go dormant. I also add bulbs around my later peonies, purple queen secreatia, etc.
