Trumpet has no sound?

When i try to play the trumpet it just blows air, what's wrong with it?? and my 3rd valve doesn't work either....

Trumpet has no sound?
Make sure the valves are all facing in the right direction. Clean out the inside of your trumpet with a trumpet snake (can get at a local music store), clean and oil valves/casing. Make sure mouthpiece isn't clogged. If there are large dents bring to a repair shop. If the valve doesn't press down, try taking the valve itself apart piece by piece and placing it back together to insure that no piece is jammed.
Reply:a trumpet does not "make sound".

a trumpet shapes, and varies, the sound that you make.

you have to press your lips together, and sort of 'fart" them into the mouth piece.

look up "how to play a trumpet" on google. it has to be there.
Reply:try turning the keys until they are in like a lock position

Hope it helped
Reply:ooooo well you have to have the third valve working
Reply:did you drop it?
