Do you have to have the same brand of mouth piece as the trumpet i have jupeter trumpet and a blessing mouthpiece does it matter
I have a jupiter trumpet and got a new mouthpiece HELP?
i've been playing trumpet for 6 years and in all my experiance i ve never had a problem with different brand mouthpieces. it doesn't matter what brand of mouthpiece. they're all a standard size.

Reply:It doesn't matter at all that they don't match up. What matters more is that neither of them are very good. If you end up progressing satisfactorily on the trumpet you may want to consider purchasing a better mouthpiece (maybe a Bach which is what the Blessing is based on, and in time a new trumpet.
