Trumpet Trouble?

My Trumpet's first valve slide wont come out. any suggestions.

Trumpet Trouble?
Hmm, stuck parts...usually I go with WD-40. I spary a little around the affected area, wait a few seconds then twist.

Liquid wrench might work as an alternative.
Reply:Try heating the outer part slightly with steam from a kettle. WD40.
Reply:Umm...that actually happened to my friends trumpet once. I don't know how for sure but she put slide oil all over it and just kept messing with it. It eventually came loose. Sorry i can't help anymore, I play the saxophone and bassoon
Reply:I agree with Just_Gone's answer. Try just the heat though, I wouldn't put WD40 on my instrument. If it is still stuck, take it to a music store/repair shop. They can get it un-stuck for you very quickly and won't break it.

When you do get it unstuck, make sure to wipe down the valve slide and the recieving end to get rid of the residue that caused it to get stuck in the first place. Might as well do it for all the slides. Clean the slides monthly and put a little slide grease on each one at that time.
Reply:mine used to be stuck. i took some valve oil and put in on it and wiggled it some. if it didnt come out then i put some slide grease on it and pushed it in and wiggled and wiggled it out. the reason why it might be stuck is that it could be bent. to see if it is bent hold it up and see if the light makes dents on it. if so...that is your problem. hope i helped.
