Purchasing a trumpet...???????? any ideas?
I'm not sure on those values, but check into eBay...they've got great deals on both student and professional instruments. Some auctions will go into details about the item.
Reply:go with the yamaha but make sure of a few things first
first, you want it to be a professional trumpet. if he wants to play it through college then anything else would be a waste of money because a beginers or intermediate he would grow out of very fast Report It
Reply:also..
second, that yamaha sounds a little cheap. make sure he can play it to try out the sound first and how well it plays. if your unsure ask his music teacher what he thinks
sorry im new at this Report It
Reply:well id ont know the prices in ohio but the bach strad is on of the best trumpets i know of
Reply:like i said in yer other answer, Yamaha for now, save the fancy stuff for later... Don't pay $1000 for a tpt he'll drop for a better one when he goes to college.
Reply:well there comes a day in a girls life when she must choose the trumpet that will make her proud. It will be a blaring symphany of muscial bliss for all to hear. It will call onn the nations to come together in one stride to unite in our humanity and angage in a peace that no soul has ever known. When you shall find your trumpet you shall find what it is that many before you have sought. i hope your journey ahead is a fine one indded...and that you find yourself i fine lass to blow.
Reply:I'd go with the Yamaha. The French Bessen sounds like it's just for show. But I guess if you're looking for quality, you should take a look at the valves. For a grand, you better get the best damn valves on the planet. Make sure they don't stick and easy to maintain. I remember when I was playing trumpet throughout grade and high school, the valves would always stay stuck no matter how much I oil it.
On a side note about yamaha, you're probably thinking what I'm thinking: it's like building a fighter plane out of aluminum. However, I've had a yamaha fretless bass guitar for four years now and it's quite sturdy and works well. I still won't trust getting a regular yamaha guitar though.
Reply:Not YAMAHA. That's my only advise.
